De bekende 15-jarige fokhengst High Valley Z. 2001 t/m 2003 onder Jos Lansink drie keer achtereen finale-winnaar in de jaarlijkse competitie om de titel ´Sire of the World´. is op maandagmorgen 28 juni overleden. aan een hartstilstand. De door P.S. Koopmans te Bozum (Friesland) gefokte hengst was een zoon van Olympic Ahorn, in 1991/92 internationaal springpaard onder Roelof Bril. De moeder van High Valley Z is geboren in Holstein (v Conte, mv Colt, stam 776). Behalve de ´Sire´-titels telt de palmares van High Valley Z tal van hoogtepunten: 2e GP Aken 2003, 1e GP Maastricht 2002, 2e GP Rotterdam 2002, 3e World Cup Aarhus 1999, 2e GP Amsterdam 1998. De prijshengst van Stoeterij Zangersheide is gestorven toen hij van het fantoom afsprong, dus letterlijk: in het harnas.
The fifteen year old stallion performer High Valley Z died on Monday morning 28 th of June from a cardiac arrest. The bay stallion was three times winner (2001 ? 2003) of the Zangersheide Sires of the World. Next to the title of ´Sires´ he was second in the Gr. Pr. of Aachen in 2003, first in the Gr. Pr. of Maastricht 2002, second in the Gr. Pr. of Rotterdam in 2002, third in the World Cup Aarhus 1999 and second in the Gr. Pr. of Amsterdam in 1998.
High Valley Z was bred by P.S. Koopmans of Bozum (Friesland) by Olympic Ahorn and a Holsteiner mare by Conte x Colt, out of lineage 776.
The Zangersheide stallion died when he jumped of the phantom.

High Valley Z était né il y a 15 ans chez PS. Koopmans à Bozum (Friesland) son père Olympic Ahorn sautait au niveau international en 1991 et 1992 avec Roelof Bril, sa mère est une jument Holsteiner par Conte x Colt de la lignée 776.
A côté des titres de « Sires of the world » il était 2 ième au Grand Prix de Aix la chapelle en 2003, premier au Grand Prix de Maastricht en 2002, 2ième au Grand Prix de Rotterdam en 2002, 3 ième épreuve Coupe du monde Aarhus 1999 et 2 ième Grand Prix d´Amsterdam en 1998. L´étalon du haras Zangersheide est mort lorsqu´il sautait du mannequin pour saillir.
